Private Sector Anti-Bullying Ombudsman

Private Sector Anti-Bullying Ombudsman

Project description:

Challenge: Workplace bullying remains an overlooked issue in the private sector, where victims often lack independent support and confidentiality. The project addresses this gap by establishing an Anti-Bullying Ombudsperson model that ensures employees have a safe, neutral resource for guidance, prevention, and resolution of workplace bullying cases.

Solution: The organization created an independent ombudsperson model within the private sector for confidential and fair handling of bullying cases. The Ombudsperson provides one-to-one guidance, mediation, and preventive training for employees and employers, ensuring early intervention and promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and psychological safety at work.

Result: The project has increased awareness of workplace bullying and created safer environments in several private companies. Employees now have access to confidential support, while employers gain practical tools for prevention. The model has inspired partnerships across sectors and positioned MAB as a pioneer in integrating anti-bullying ombudsperson services into private industry.
