About the UN Global Compact

The UN Global Compact is the world’s largest and most important initiative for responsible corporate leadership. The Global Compact Network in Ukraine is a part of the UN Global Compact initiative aimed at uniting business around 10 UNGC principles in the sphere of human rights protection, employment, environment and anti-corruption, as well as promoting Sustainable Development Goals into business strategic planning. The GC Network Ukraine main priority is launching a dialog platform between business, government and civil society in order to reach the SDGs by joint actions.

About the Partnership for Sustainability Award

The Partnership for Sustainability Award is the UN Global Compact Network Ukraine’s premier award for sustainability, peace, environmental and economic leadership. The Partnership for Sustainability Award program recognizes organizations, businesses, associations, and individuals who are solving environmental, social and economic challenges by using innovative and environmentally sustainable practices, assigned by 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

What began in 2018 as a recognition event in the sphere of Sustainable Development Goals has evolved into a showcase of sustainability leadership across Ukraine in all business sectors. The reach is broad. Over two years in a row, the Award has gained a strong reputation for independent, evidence-based judging, connecting people and inspiring action within businesses, communities, academia and government.

It changes the corporate social responsibility paradigm in the sphere of sustainable development and teaches the management of the participating institutions to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals into their operating activities, as well as to seek innovative sustainability solutions that may affect the company’s financial performance in the short-term and long-term perspectives.

Many companies in Ukraine have aligned their work with the Sustainable Development Goals, recognizing that a healthy environment and robust economic growth is dependent on a thriving and resilient local and global community.

The Partnership for Sustainability Award demonstrates the tremendous achievements made possible when industry, local communities and government work together to produce better environmental, peaceful, social and economic outcomes.
