Project description:
The challenge of “Hear? Plus. Plus” project is to prevent hearing loss among Ukrainian soldiers and rehabilitate them after acoustic injuries sustained at the front. Constant noise exposure from gunfire and explosions can lead to significant hearing loss. The project aims to provide the military with protective sound filters, as well as to provide hearing prosthetics and psychological and pedagogical rehabilitation to those who have suffered acoustic trauma.
The solution of “Hear? Plus. Plus” project is to provide the military with individual tactical sound filters that protect them from dangerous noise peaks during combat operations. For those who have already suffered from acoustic injuries, the organization provides free hearing prosthetics and comprehensive psychological and pedagogical rehabilitation to help them return to full life and service.
The result of “Hear? Plus. Plus” project has improved the quality of life and preserved the hearing of hundreds of military personnel. The project has delivered 3700 individual sound filters, preventing hearing loss at the front line. 75 soldiers who suffered acoustic injuries underwent hearing prosthetics and rehabilitation, a total of 3,600 hours. This allowed them to return to active service and civilian life, restoring communication with their families.
