Ayman Chowdhury is the Head of Secretariat of Global Compact Network Canada (GCNC), the Canadian chapter of the United Nations Global Compact. Currently, he is leading the Gender Equality  Leadership in the Canadian Private Sector project supported by the Government of  Canada.
Also, working as a co-chair in multiple working groups including, Enabling a  Circular Economy for Plastic Waste in Canada, Children Rights and the SDGs for  Responsible Business Conduct – a Canadian assessment, and Sustainable Business  Recovery Through the Lens of the SDGs – A Canadian Outline. In 2019, he led the  preparation of the SDGs Emerging Practice Guide in partnership with the Global Affairs  Canada.

Before being appointed as the Head of Secretariat for Global Compact Network  Canada, he worked with the organization as a Senior Sustainability Consultant to  provide consultation reviews to policy and strategy papers, write project concept notes  and proposals, and deliver project contracts. He specializes in SDGs reporting and  guiding companies on how to adopt sustainability principles and SDGs.

Ayman obtained his MSc in Sustainability Management (MScSM) from the University of  Toronto with a specialization in Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Business  Administration (Finance) from the United International University.
