Vidchui Inclusive Summer Camp


Project description:
The Vidchui Inclusive Summer Camp project aims to improve the quality of life and activity of children and adolescents with hearing disabilities by increasing their self-awareness and motivation for future employment and employment. This occurs through vocational rehabilitation that takes place during a thematic summer camp.
The significance of this initiative is determined by the need to enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and promote their active engagement in public life.
Children and adolescents with hearing impairments often face difficulties in socialization and professional development. They may feel excluded in regular society. The Vidchui summer camp gives an opportunity for them to get together, socialize, and develop together. Thus, the camp became a key tool for improving their condition and preparing them for the future through communication with other children and teenagers.
The Vidchui summer camp project helps to solve these problems by providing children with the needed support and opportunities for development. This is the sixth time that the organization has prepared this program and they are looking forward to meeting children from all over Ukraine.
Target audience: Pupils of special schools for deaf children in Ukraine, and hearing-impaired children with hearing impairments, aged 12-18
