Sanofi and particularly Foundation S, a philanthropic organization, has been significantly supporting the people of Ukraine by supporting access to medicines and vaccines and enhancing health equity during the war. In collaboration with the Red Cross and other NGOs including a number of local ones, Foundation S has provided donations of vaccines and essential medicines for patients in Ukraine and for Ukrainian refugees. 40 million daily treatments for diabetes, cardiovascular disease and epilepsy, as well as 450,000 vaccines (300,000 doses for diphtheria and tetanus) were donated, which benefited 21 million people.
In addition, on the first days of the war, Foundation S donated 4 million Euros to the Red Cross in support of the Ukrainian people and neighboring countries, and 1 million Euros to UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency, in support of refugees and their essential needs.
It continues to collaborate with the Ukrainian Ministry of Health on access to health in these difficult times.
