Project description:

Nexi Group and employees across the Group wanted to stand together with Ukrainians and support where help was needed both in Ukraine as well as in neighboring countries. In 2022 Nexi Group donated € 500.000  to the UN Refugee Agency and promoted an employee fundraiser for UNICEF and their work in Ukraine and neighboring countries.

Subsidiaries of Nexi created supporting initiatives. In Poland close to its border, the focus was to support refugees with housing, food, and clothes. One subsidiary also offered language classes in Polish in cooperation with their local partner.

The partnership with the local Language Coach in Poznan was to create language courses for groups of refugees who wanted to learn Polish. The classes were taught 2 hours twice a week with a total of 32 participants during June – September. The courses received very good feedback from the refugee organizations.
