Project description:

Challenge: The “Day with the Kings Team” initiative was created to support children affected by the war through sports, education, and psychological assistance. The Betking Foundation organises football matches where professional footballers inspire children, build team spirit, trust, and social resilience. Dozens of young players take part in the event, gaining knowledge, positive emotions, and a chance for development and social adaptation.

Solution: To implement the “Day with the Kings Team” project, unique football matches were held in three cities. 11 professional players from the main squad played two halves against a team of 50 young participants. The children had an incredible experience, gained inspiration, and had the opportunity to feel true team spirit while playing alongside their idols.

Result: The “Day with the Kings Team” project gave children affected by the war the opportunity to spend time actively, develop team spirit, and gain new knowledge from professional athletes. A total of 150 boys and girls aged 7 to 12 in the cities of Rivne, Irpin, and Oleksandriya participated in the project. The children felt supported and safe, strengthened their sense of trust and social resilience, and gained positive emotions and inspiration for development.
