The Development and Investment Bank of Turkey has faced challenges in formulating policies that meet the goals of sustainable development and the needs of its stakeholders, and in developing programs to train professionals in this area.

To address the challenges, the bank entered into strategic partnerships with universities, creating working groups to develop sustainability policies and training programs. These initiatives have helped to prepare specialists to participate in sustainable projects.

Partnerships with universities have also contributed to research that has informed policy proposals covering climate change, renewable energy and sustainable resource management.
