Project description:

Since the beginning of the full-scale war the Ukrainian GTS Operator has been able to unite the efforts of 18 GTS operators from 14 European countries to ensure stable operations and supply the country with natural gas while Ukraine’s energy facilities were being bombed.

To ensure that the Ukrainian gas transportation system operates stably especially in the autumn-winter period a great deal of equipment was received to provide technological support, assist in diagnostic work and repairs and in restorative work. Specific aid included generators, diesel fuel, computer equipment, welding equipment and humanitarian goods (mats, sleeping bags, etc.). The latter were used both for the needs of the GTSOU employees – in bomb shelters, in problematic areas where our employees have to be on duty for a long time under fire – and for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

For its part, GTSOU has successfully negotiated with the German operator Open Grid Europe to provide vehicles to civil-military administrations for humanitarian missions. As a result 14 European countries joined in assisting the Ukrainian gas transportation system.
