Schneider Electric mobilization for Ukraine



Project description:
In response to the war, Schneider Electric Foundation together with Schneider Electric reacted very quickly and put in place several meaningful initiatives that are still on-going.
- In-kind donation/Emergency. Schneider’s donation of €4 million worth of electrical equipment, facilitated by the World Economic Forum, was used to repair damaged installations and restore electrical supply by Ukraine’s public and private utilities, including the major energy provider DTEK.
- Tomorrow Rising Fund Ukraine/Emergency & rebuilding
- Donation campaign, Tomorrow’s Rising fund Ukraine, managed by Schneider Electric’s Foundation and Schneider Electric Ukraine, to provide financial support to all Schneider Electric Ukraine Employees and to their families, a community of 500+ people (incl. help to rehouse, to relocate, to face unexpected expenses, psychological support, languages courses and legal advice).
- Support the humanitarian work of NGOs on the ground by donating emergency power equipment, such as off-grid lighting solutions and power transformers. But also supporting the relocation of children in different neighborhood countries with SOS Children Village.
To date, the Tomorrow Rising Ukraine fund has raised close to €2 million. This includes €550,000 in financial contributions from Schneider Electric colleagues worldwide, with a further €400,000 of financial aid provided by the Foundation and €1 million donated by Schneider Electric company.
