Schneider Electric France – Supporting Ukrainian Refugees in France

Project description:
For Schneider the safety of its people is paramount. That is why a donation campaign called Tomorrow Rising was launched among all employees by Schneider Electric Foundation to support the Ukrainian SE employees and their families wherever they were located. When the first refugees arrived in France, it was natural to reinforce our engagement by defining specific measures in France to deal with this humanitarian crisis.
- Encourage & financially support employees to host refugees
More than 65 Ukrainian refugees of which were 23 children have been hosted in the homes of French employees.
In addition, Schneider Electric France has supported employees hosting Ukrainian refugees at home by a €500 monthly allowance, all throughout 2022, starting in April.
As well, 3 additional exceptional leave days were granted to these employees to ensure a warm welcome of the refugees to France.
- Ukrainian refugee organizations
In order to support refugees with their administrative formalities or in their job search, missions with local NGOs have been suggested to employees via our VolunteerIn platform. Employees had access to a 20 hour allocation to be used during their working hours.
In total, 47 employees have been actively involved in this solidarity movement.
