Project description:

It aims at developing a system that maximizes the return of individuals to the labor market after an insured event. To date, KPMG in Ukraine has researched four strategically important areas:

• Ensuring comprehensive rehabilitation and establishing status based on workability
• Reducing the burden on the budget and unifying insurance payments
• Creating a transparent, customer-oriented social support system
• Increasing the efficiency of the job search and re-employment process

The project aims at developing a social insurance system that allows for the deferral of permanent disability status, giving individuals the opportunity to recover while providing them with the necessary support throughout the process. Such a system would help ensure that people return to the labor market as quickly as possible after an insured event.

The project will create an effective, fair, and transparent social insurance system that meets the needs of today’s society and contributes to the sustainable development of Ukraine. The new model will help reduce the number of illegitimate claims and claimants who do not actually need the status, which, in turn, will increase the amount of payments for individuals who have lost the ability to work.
