Project description:
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion each educational institution in Ukraine has faced challenges in both sponsoring and organizing the educational process in the current conditions. The war compelled Ukrainian students in various regions either to switch to an online education format, or to depend on state institutions to increase the effort in providing safety for the students. Over 1,200 applications have been received from schools looking for infrastructure, technological or methodological support.
In response to the challenges posed by the full-scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine, Osvitoria ran a pilot project aimed at swiftly restoring the educational process in schools affected by the war. The aid included the provision of laptops, tablets, power generators, routers with uninterrupted Internet connectivity and units of multimedia equipment.
Assistance was provided to 46 schools in 17 regions, benefiting more than 16,000 students. In particular, assistance was provided to 27 front-line region schools (Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Mykolaiv oblasts) with more than 10,000 children as well as 19 schools in other regions educating more than 6,000 internally displaced children.
