Project O2

Project O2

Project description:
Project O2 is facing several challenges. First, the cost of their reforestation service is quite high. Due to the cutting-edge technology they use, their services are primarily accessible to larger companies with dedicated CSR budgets. Additionally, they are operating in highly degraded terrains with very poor soil condition, particularly in the areas affected by major fires or severe pollution, which challenges the reforestation efforts.
To address the high cost of the company’s service, they’ve introduced online vouchers via their webshop, enabling individuals and smaller companies to contribute to their reforestation efforts. Each voucher funds 10m² of reforested land. To tackle soil degradation, the company’s team is continually refining SeedBomb formula, tailoring it to the specific region and soil conditions of each new site. Scientists of Project O2 are developing innovative solutions to enrich the soil and ensure seed growth into healthy saplings.
Project O2, a startup that began drone planting three years ago, is showing promising results. They’re cultivating biodiverse forests that are resilient to climate change — if one tree species struggles during droughts, the other five in their SeedBombs can thrive, ensuring sustainability. Since the company’s launch, they’ve expanded from Croatia to Slovenia, Serbia, Kosovo, and Bosnia, Montenegro, and France are going to be next.
