Mine Action Ukraine mobile application

Mine Action Ukraine mobile application

Project description:

A team of specialists from the INFOTECH state enterprise, together with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the Eastern Europe Foundation – EGAP, developed a mobile application – Mine Action Ukraine.

The Mine Action Ukraine app has become a true beacon for Ukrainian citizens who daily face the real threat of explosions in the liberated territories. It allows citizens to quickly and efficiently report explosive and suspicious objects, as well as to get acquainted with the areas that could potentially be contaminated with explosive devices, helping to avoid danger and to protect lives.

With the app, users can send photos and descriptions of explosive and suspicious items directly to authorized employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. In case of detection of an explosive object, relevant units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine process these calls, thereby clearing the territory of Ukraine.

In addition, the Demining Ukraine mobile application provides users with access to information on preventative measures and safety tips when traveling through the territory where explosive ordnances may be present. It helps to understand how to avoid potentially dangerous situations and act appropriately in the event of suspicious objects.

Thanks to the coordinated work of government agencies, developers and the public, Ukraine will be able to put an end to the threat of explosive ordnances and build a safe future for its citizens.
