Mental Help

Mental Help

“Partner case”
Project description:
According to the Ministry of Health, in 9 months of 2024, more than 350,000 patients sought primary care for mental health issues, including 54,000 children under 18. This is more than three times higher than in 2023. The top complaints of patients are feelings of anxiety, nervousness and tension due to the ongoing war.
Internally displaced persons, veterans, children affected by the war, people with disabilities and victims of violence need accessible and high-quality psychological support.
The Mental Help project of the UN Global Compact in Ukraine is an online platform recommended by the Ministry of Health that provides professional psychological assistance to all citizens regardless of age, gender or social status.
Consultations are held online, which allows people to receive support regardless of their location. All sessions are conducted in a one-to-one format, which guarantees privacy and security. The platform employs 15 experienced psychology specialists who have at least a master’s degree and undergo regular specialised training. To improve the quality of their work, the team constantly participates in supervision and interviews. Over the course of the project, more than 25,000 consultations have been provided to almost 5,000 users.
The key groups of people who use the platform are internally displaced persons, veterans and their families, and residents of the de-occupied territories.
Thanks to the Mental Help platform, about 5,000 Ukrainians have already received professional psychological help. The main requests relate to anxiety, depression, relationship problems and self-esteem issues.
