MenCare

Project description:
Creating a gender-equal working environment and ensuring employee welfare is an important value which is an integral part of corporate culture and one of the priorities of modern Georgian business and organizations.
MenCare Georgia was established in 2014 by UNFPA Georgia and the Care Together NGO, and its goal is to increase male involvement in gender equality issues in Georgia. The MenCare campaign aims to promote men’s involvement, positive parenting, elimination of violence and equal distribution of roles in families.
Creating a policy on diversity and a family-compatible working environment was one of the ideas of cooperation with Tegeta Holding. The purpose of the policies is to create a work environment free from discrimination and to create a positive working space. The holding was engaged in the MenCare Georgia campaign.
Tegeta Holding decided to raise awareness of gender equality by implementing the well-known method – Men Talking to Men (MTM) training.
MTM is a meeting series that aims at breaking stereotypes in society and raising awareness of gender equality. Tegeta is the first company from the private sector in which MTM is actively taking place, that arranged 6 meetings and included more than 100 men employees. Tegeta is actively involved in the celebration and promotion of Father’s Day, the purpose of which is to support the role of men, to raise awareness about the redistribution of roles in family affairs and to support gender equality issues.
