Challenge: At its core lies the K-STAR (Kibar- Sustainable Tomorrow for Accelerated Results) Supplier Sustainability Program, a strategic initiative designed to position Kibar as a sector leader. The program enforces strong ESG standards across a vast supplier base of over 1,000 companies in more than 60 industries and 45 countries. Despite the scale, Kibar remains committed to embedding sustainability across its value chain. The K-STAR platform offers a fully integrated, end-to-end development system that includes training, surveys, personalized actions, and digital monitoring, aiming to drive transformation not only within the company but throughout the wider supplier ecosystem.

Solution: K-STAR is the world’s first integrated supplier of sustainability programs, which goes beyond CSR and becomes a strategic transformation tool. With the help of a segmentation model aligned with SASB, over 6,000 suppliers were assessed for maturity, with 1,071 participating in the program in 2024, covering 95% of procurement. Based on assessment results, supplier maturity levels and change management needs were identified. Over 40,000 improvement actions were implemented through a digital platform with real-time analytics. K-STAR reinforces Kibar’s commitment to climate, human rights, ethics, governance, and social impact.

Result: K-STAR is a holistic supplier sustainability platform developed in alignment with Kibar Group’s vision to accelerate progress in key ESG areas. The program covers 63 industries in 47 countries, including over 1,000 suppliers representing 95% of procurement. Based on the maturity assessment, over 50,000 individual improvement actions were generated and then implemented through a digital monitoring system (Qualtrics, Flowi, QlikSense, K-STAR Portal). In 2024, 31.6% of suppliers improved their sustainability performance, while training and financial tools facilitated their development and access to green financing.
