Project description: 

Thanks to the Lviv IT Cluster, IT companies and universities have collaborated for over 8 years and have created innovative bachelor degree programs in technical fields. It allows the companies to prepare graduates who do not need additional training when entering the workforce. Programs supported by the Cluster are decidedly industry-oriented, with courses closely resembling work in IT companies, while students prepare their own projects starting from the first year.

Today, there are 19 innovative bachelor’s programs with over 4,500 students studying in 4 state universities in Lviv. The basis of all these programs is the interaction between mentors from IT companies and student teams. 

The next stage of the IT-Expert project, which has already started, involves the establishment of a Research Center for students with engineering specialties that will combine laboratories for interdisciplinary research and spaces for developing startups and entrepreneurial skills. 

The Сenter will stimulate the growth of Deep-Tech startups and products based on academic research and a talent pool that applies it in practice.
