Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Station to Replace Own Electricity Consumption

Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Station to Replace Own Electricity Consumption

Project description:
Challenge: The business centre, located on Kharkivske highway in Kyiv, experiences high daily energy use and rising utility costs. That has created a significant financial burden and increased dependency on the central power line. Moreover, the consumption of conventional energy leads to higher CO₂ emissions, negatively affecting the environment, and does not meet the current sustainable development requirements.
Solution: The project envisions the installation of a grid-tied hybrid solar power plant with a capacity of 30 kW to partially replace the business centre’s energy consumption. The power plant will provide for up to 74% of daily consumption, reducing electricity costs and decreasing dependence on tariff fluctuations. The use of renewable energy will help increase energy efficiency and reduce the negative impact on the environment.
Result: The project implementation will ensure an annual generation of 16.9 MWh, savings of over USD 2,200, a reduction in CO₂, NOx, and SOx emissions, as well as the conservation of resources equivalent to hundreds of trees and thousands of litres of fuel. The investment payback period is projected to be less than 10 years. The business centre will gain a stable source of clean energy, enhancing its competitiveness and improving its environmental reputation.
