Free Center for Psychological Assistance

Free Center for Psychological Assistance

Project description:

On the first day of the war, a Free Center for Psychological Assistance was created. This is a kind of “first aid”, created as primary aid, which alleviates a person’s condition, reduces the degree of anxiety, switches the person’s attention and helps to adapt to a new reality, based on the circumstances in which the person was at the current moment in his life. Fifteen qualified and certified psychologists were involved.

Together with Binotel, a free hotline was created, to which Ukrainians phoned 24 hours per day from all regions of Ukraine. Over the entire period of the war, more than 3,000 calls were received and professional assistance provided.

Some Ukrainians called more than once and, as a result of the recommendations of our psychologists, were able to emerge from their critical condition. Our goal for this project was to ease the mental stress and help Ukrainian citizens adapt to the war.
