Project description:

Challenge: Russia’s full-scale invasion created unprecedented challenges: destruction of medical infrastructure, shortage of ambulances and modern equipment, and an urgent need for treatment, prosthetics, and rehabilitation of wounded soldiers and civilians. At the same time, state institutions and civil society required digital solutions to preserve cultural heritage, support veterans, and enable Ukraine’s sustainable recovery.

Solution: SoftServe combined philanthropy, volunteerism, and technology to respond to Ukraine’s urgent needs. Through the Open Eyes Fund, the company delivered ambulances and medical equipment nationwide. Partnering with Superhumans, the company created modern infrastructure for treatment and rehabilitation. At the same time, the Open Tech community developed over ten pro bono digital solutions, enabling state institutions and NGOs to serve society effectively during the war.

Result: As a result, 109 ambulances now save lives on the frontlines, while 558 medical devices have strengthened 191 hospital departments and improved care for 45,000 people. At Superhumans, a new floor with 8 wards for 17 patients was opened and over 20 people received prosthetics. More than ten pro bono Open Tech projects delivered digital solutions for state bodies and NGOs, supporting cultural preservation, veterans’ services, and Ukraine’s sustainable recovery.
