Reformatting the image of an IT specialist.

Sigma Software stands for equality and gender balance and is proud that in their team there are 35% of women in general and 50% in the executive team.

The company keeps working on attracting women to the IT industry and in 2021 together with the Danir Group, developed the Femmeginnering project, which aims to build a female IT community and inspire women to join the tech industry by sharing stories of success, launching educational events, providing free access to IT education and mentorship by industry leaders.

In 2021 their specialists shared their stories (https://femmegineering.com/en/hall-of-femme/) of becoming developers and managers. These stories helped many girls and young women to follow their passion for IT and to ignore biases and stereotypes they still face in society and within their families.

In 2022-2023 the company decided to boost the project and scale it to the emerging European tech markets. The company organized meetups for women in Poland, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Brazil, attracting top-notch experts from the leading tech companies. The topics covered software testing, career growth, Project Management, Business Analysis, etc.

Femmegineering held a special meetup within the Women in Tech Summit, one of the biggest events aimed at ensuring gender balance and attracting over 8,000 attendees. They also support the STEM girls community through mentoring and meetings.

Gender balance activities and Femmegineering are a part of the company’s CSR strategy.
