Akcansa’s 2024 Integrated Annual Report

Akcansa’s 2024 Integrated Annual Report

Project description:
Challenge: The greatest challenge in preparing the integrated activity report was the consolidation of large volumes of data from various departments in an accurate, consistent manner, and in compliance with both national and international standards. In particular, verifying nearly 500 KPIs demanded an intensely time-consuming and coordinated effort. Moreover, the report needed to strike a careful balance in content planning, as it covered not only financial performance but also complex topics such as climate change, sustainability risks, and opportunities. Additionally, making the digital version of the report accessible to disadvantaged groups created further technical and design-related challenges.
Solution: To overcome these challenges, a comprehensive project management system was established, and standardised reporting formats were developed for contributions from all units. The data verification process was strengthened through independent experts and third-party confirmation mechanisms. During content development, international frameworks (ESRS, GRI, TSRS (Turkish Sustainability Reporting Standards) / SASB, TCFD, etc.) were referenced, ensuring the report’s comparability on a global scale. For digital accessibility, visual-auditory supports, designs compatible with screen readers, and streamlined navigation options were implemented. In this way, the report became inclusive not only in terms of content but also regarding ease of access and use.
Result: As a result, the integrated activity report clearly reflected the company’s principles of transparency, accountability, and inclusivity. By addressing both financial and environmental-social performance holistically, stakeholder trust was enhanced. With nearly 500 verified data points, the report became not only a communication tool but also a reliable source of decision support. Thanks to compliance with international standards and accessibility features, the report stood out as a strong model exemplifying the company’s best practices in corporate governance.
